The Curseforge mod hub for The Sims 4 won’t be replacing any of the other destinations where CC and mods are hosted, but this one comes with an endorsement by the game developers that it’s safe to download, and should in theory also be easier for players not familiar with The Sims CC and modding to try mods. This is a curated hub, with a group of creators already set to have their CC and mods available on the platform when it launches later this year.Įxisting CC, released previously on other sites, are allowed to be uploaded to Curseforge, as long as it’s “within the guidelines provided by Overwolf and The Sims”. The Sims is partnering with Overwolf to use the Curseforge mod manager as its official hub for CC. And at the recent The Sims Summit livestream, it was announced that there will be an officially endorsed destination for players to download them. Pretty much anything you can think of, this mod can do it, and it’s updated on an on-going basis.The Sims 4 has a large modding community making mods and custom content (CC). The MC Command Center Mod has an abundance of options in the form of multiple modules that tackle different functionalities: adjusting household bills, making selected sims immortal, pregnancies, and even creating story progression-style mechanics. One popular script mod is The Sims 4 MC Command Center Mod created by the user, Deaderpool. Script mods are coding mods that can alter game behaviors, as opposed to pre-existing Maxis coding.
Now that you’ve dabbled a little bit in custom content for The Sims 4, you must be wondering why we turned on script mods.
You can enable this filter on all screens, even in Build/Buy! If you’re having trouble finding the custom content you’ve downloaded, click the small arrow next to “Feminine,” click content, and check the box next to “Custom Content” so that the hair section shows only custom content you’ve downloaded. Once you’re in the “Create a Household” screen, click over to the “Hair” section.
